Reporting in Odoo 16 Project Management
An efficient Project Management ERP is essential for firms or businesses to effectively plan, execute, and monitor all their developments and progress. Reporting in project management also plays a crucial role in order to track the progress of the projects, identifying potential risks, and making appropriate decisions beneficial for the business.
Odoo 16, with its project management feature, will provide a complete solution to businesses ranging from project planning, task development, status tracking, and accounting aspects to resource utilization and timesheet management, along with its real-time reporting features.
In this blog, we will discuss the Reporting options that are available in the Odoo 16 Project Management module.
The Odoo 16 Project Management module is equipped with a robust and user-friendly reporting feature that will allow you to get real-time data regarding all the projects.
The Reporting feature of Odoo Project Management can be accessed by going through the following steps –
Project → Reporting
To make the data analysis more user-friendly and customizable, Odoo has facilitated different types of views for the same. Odoo’s reports can be analyzed in graphical or pivotal views by selecting the respective options available.

GRAPH VIEW
The graphical representation has further options to display the data in different forms, such as bar charts, Line charts, and Pie charts, which can be selected respectively from the options available on top of the window as shown in the image below.
In addition to the above-mentioned representations, the Stacked view and the Cumulative view are also available, which can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding icons.
In addition to this, the reports can be arranged in ascending and descending modes by clicking on the respective options, as shown in the image below.
The above reports can be analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively with the help of different filters or measures available. To generate reports based on various parameters or measures, you can select the required measures or parameters listed under the MEASURES tab. These measures or parameters can be changed as per the requirement.
The above image shows the different ‘Measures’ available which include –
- Days to Deadline
- Effective Hours
- Overtime
- Planned Hours
- Progress
- Remaining Hours
- Working days to assign
- Working days to close
- Working hours to assign
- Working hours to close
- Count
In addition to all the above-mentioned options, Odoo’s default functionalities, such as Filters, Group By, and Search options are also available in this view.
The ‘Filters’ tab will have some default options which include –
- My Task
- Followed task
- My team’s task
- My department’s task
- Unassigned
- My projects
- My favorite projects
- My team’s project
- My department’s project
- High priority
- Low priority
- Opened
- Closed
- Late milestone
- Late task
- Tasks in overtime
- Deadline
- Assignment date
- Last stage update
- Archived
- Add a custom filter
The Group By option allows to grouping of the report data based on various criteria. The image below shows the default options available in the Group By option. The default options include:
- Stage
- Personal stage
- Assignees
- Milestone
- Customer
- Kanban state
- Deadline
- Creation date
- Add custom group
Similarly, the Favourites tab also gives various options such as Save current search, Link menu in a spreadsheet, and Add to my dashboard, as shown in the image below.
Odoo 16 has a very useful feature of allowing the users to create, modify, or insert the required data into a spreadsheet directly from the reporting view. In the above view, the button ‘INSERT TO SPREADHSEET’ will allow you to insert your graph into a spreadsheet. On clicking this button, a pop-up will be displayed, which allows you to choose the required spreadsheet for the graph to be inserted into.
PIVOT VIEW
The pivot view of the Report will make your data into a tabular format as shown in the image below.
Here also we have the ‘MEASURES’ tab, which can be used as per the requirement.
In the pivot view, additional options, such as flip axis, expand all, and download xlsx, are also available.
CUSTOMER RATING
Another feature available in Odoo 16 Project Management Reporting is the option to analyze ‘Customer Rating’. In order to enable this feature, go through the following steps –
Project → Configuration → Settings → Enable Customer Ratings
After enabling this, Customer Rating will appear under the Reporting menu of Project Management, as shown in the below image.
